Your Account 01 / 04
Profile & Settings
Manage your DevDojo identity in one place — your profile and avatar, email, password, two-factor authentication, connected accounts, and active sessions.
Your account area is the control center for everything about you on DevDojo: how you appear, how you sign in, and how you keep your account secure. Every setting lives in one predictable place.
You'll find it under your account menu — click your avatar in the top corner and choose Account or Settings.
Your profile and avatar
Your profile is how you show up across DevDojo, including on any teams you belong to.
- Open Account → Profile.
- Update your name and any profile details.
- To change your avatar, click the current image and either upload a photo or remove it to fall back to your initials.
- Save your changes — they take effect right away.
Email address
Your email is how you sign in and where DevDojo sends important notifications.
- Go to Account → Email.
- Add or change your email address.
- DevDojo sends a verification link to the new address. Click it to confirm the change.
Note — Until you verify a new email, your previous address stays active. This protects your account if an address is mistyped.
Password
Keep your sign-in secure with a strong, unique password.
- Go to Account → Password.
- Enter your current password, then your new one twice.
- Save. You'll stay signed in on this device, and you can review other sessions below.
Tip — Use a password manager to generate and store a long, unique password. Pair it with two-factor authentication for the strongest protection.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication adds a second step at sign-in, so a password alone isn't enough to access your account.
- Go to Account → Security (or Two-Factor Authentication).
- Click Enable and scan the QR code with an authenticator app like 1Password, Authy, or Google Authenticator.
- Enter the 6-digit code to confirm.
- Save your recovery codes somewhere safe — they let you back in if you lose your device.
Warning — Store your recovery codes outside of your authenticator app (a password manager is ideal). If you lose both your device and your codes, you may be locked out of your account.
Connected accounts
Connected accounts let you sign in with a provider like GitHub or Google, and are how DevDojo links to services it works with.
- Go to Account → Connected Accounts.
- See which providers are currently linked.
- Connect a new provider to enable single-click sign-in, or disconnect one you no longer use.
Your GitHub connection — the one that lets DevDojo create app repositories — also lives here. See create your first app for how it's used.
Active sessions
Sessions show everywhere your account is currently signed in, so you can spot anything unfamiliar.
- Go to Account → Sessions.
- Review the list of devices and browsers, along with their approximate location and last activity.
- If you see something you don't recognize, click Revoke (or Sign out) to end that session immediately.
Tip — Revoking a session is a quick way to secure your account if you signed in on a shared or public computer and forgot to sign out.
With your profile set up and secured, you're ready to collaborate. Head to teams to bring in others, or billing to manage your plan.
