Billing
Choose a plan, subscribe, and manage everything about your subscription — from upgrades and payment methods to invoices — through the self-serve customer portal.
DevDojo billing stays out of your way. You pick a plan that fits how much you're building, subscribe in a few clicks, and manage everything afterward — upgrades, payment methods, invoices — from a self-serve portal. This page explains how it works.
You'll find billing under Account → Billing. If you're on a team, billing is managed at the team level by an owner.
Plans
Plans set what you have access to — how many apps you can run, environment limits, and how much AI usage is included. Higher plans raise those limits as your needs grow.
Every plan includes a monthly allowance of credits — the price of each AI action across apps, sites, and designs — and paid plans unlock the premium AI engines alongside larger allowances.
- Go to Account → Billing.
- Review the available plans and what each includes.
- Compare limits against what you're building — most people start small and upgrade when they hit a limit.
Tip — You don't have to commit to a big plan on day one. Start on the plan that covers your current apps, and upgrade the moment you need more headroom. Changes take effect right away.
Subscribe to a plan
Subscribing takes you through a secure checkout.
- On the Billing page, choose a plan and click Subscribe (or Upgrade).
- DevDojo takes you to a secure checkout to enter your payment details.
- Confirm, and your subscription activates immediately — your new limits apply right away.
Note — Payments are handled by a secure payment provider. DevDojo never stores your full card details.
Manage your subscription
Once you're subscribed, the customer portal is where you handle everything about your plan. Open it with Manage Subscription on the Billing page.
From the portal you can:
- Change plans — upgrade for more apps and usage, or downgrade if you need less.
- Update your payment method — add a new card or replace an expiring one.
- View and download invoices — grab receipts for your records or your finance team.
- Update billing details — your billing name, address, and any tax information.
- Cancel — end your subscription when you no longer need it.
Warning — If you cancel, you'll keep access until the end of your current billing period, then your account returns to the free limits. Apps that exceed those limits may become unavailable, so export or wind down anything important first.
Understanding usage and limits
Your plan includes limits, and DevDojo shows where you stand against them.
- Apps — how many apps you can have running at once.
- Environments — the isolated environments your apps run in.
- AI usage — how much AI-assisted building is included in your plan.
If you approach a limit, you'll see it in the platform — for example, a prompt to upgrade when you try to create one app too many. Upgrading in the portal lifts the limit instantly.
Billing for teams
When apps belong to a team, the team's plan and payment method apply, and only owners can manage the subscription. This keeps a company's apps and billing together, separate from any personal apps you own.
Tip — Not sure whether an app is billed to you or a team? Check the team switcher before creating it — whichever context is active is where the app (and its usage) lands.
With billing sorted, you're all set. If you haven't yet, go create your first app or dive into building with AI.
