Saludaciones.
This post will be a little different than other ones, because I will make a tad more writing.
Progresses during April and May were few, due to personal circumstances. However, in spite of the few progresses, those very tiny changes marked a difference that is remarkable. But in what sense? In pretty much every sense. Let me tell you a little bit about what the GameDev Season 1 has been about, as this last stretch will be focused on another surprise coming soon. Disclaimer: bad english lmao
- Coding
On coding we have some interesting changes. On previous posts, I talked how my productivity was restricted by coding. But these boundaries are getting further and further away. Every day, every time I open the program to begin working, I learn new important features to keep the flow of programming going. And in spite of my personal circumstances, something big happened. To summarise, what are the progresses made, from a more specific point of view?
-
The menu, the volume system, the controls and the naming systems are finished
-
The overworld is programmed, yet it still needs a bit polishing before I move from the placeholders to the actual game footage
-
The combat system is... something. Not pretty big, still very early (and not working), but give me some time, trust me bois and non-bois
-
The puzzle system is... something but lesser. Still gotta ramp up the work I put in there (ded mechanic :O)

Oh boy, one of the development parts I am putting more beef in! Music is definitely not ready, nor it will be until summer or even fall. STILL. Trust me when I say, I am very proud of the following accomplishments:
-
The Demo OST is completely planified, and most of the pieces are being set up as you read this text
-
An unknown mechanic, that probably you'll like or problably you don't, is conceptualised and in production.
-
Another unknown mechanic, that isn't something completely new, is ready in some pieces.
-
My fingers hurt from playing piano too aggresively. No new improvisations for now :'( (just kidding, gotta fill the black spaces) (...or whatever color you chose this page to be)
-
Art and graphic design
please, don't ask me about graphic design. For now, it still sucks a bit bad. Maybe I'll post some fanart on Reddit or Instagram when the moment arrives
- About Sapphire Crown
So. After what semt like an eternity, I will finally start speaking a bit about Sapphire Crown. BUt what will I talk about? Well... just a quick disclaimer. This game is something. But this something isn't for everyone.
If I had to rank it, it would be +18/Adults Only. The main reason? No, no seggs or anything like that. The reason is quite different, and the game is in some parts a very, very crude depiction of reality. In these times, no one can expect our planet to be filled with sunshine and Dinnerbone unicorns filling the sky (why not, though). So... if you're a child and you're reading this (which I deem impossible), sorry. You gotta grow up a bit first :|
And that was for today's adventure. Something is coming soon, I sense it. I hope, when it arrives, you'll enjoy it as I do creating all this amazing content.
(shit, time to put the percentage? what can I put...)
Stay tuned.
