Today @calebporzio, creator of AlpineJS, just announced the date for AlpineDay, which is June 10th, 2021 🎉. If you ever needed an excuse to blow off work and hang out with some incredible people, this is the day for it!
If you haven't seen it yet, the official AlpineDay website has launched at https://alpineday.com, and it's pretty epic 🤙.
Why Alpine Day?
AlpineJS was initially created to be a companion of Laravel Livewire along with some simple two-way data-binding awesomeness. After releasing Alpine, the community took it by the "metaphorical" horns and started riding it so hard that it became a super popular javascript framework.
Alpine provided a way to include simple javascript functionality without becoming bloated like many of the other frameworks like React or Vue. I was a huge fan of Vue; however, it was overkill in many of my applications. I eventually switched back to vanilla JS and found that I was recreating a lot of unnecessary functionality. Then, at last... The sun shone through trees, and a new light rose above the mountains, presenting itself as my new hero... And his name was Alpine... AlpineJS, to be exact 🤓
Alpine is still using the Github Readme as the main documentation, and it didn't even have its own project page. That's all going to change with the introduction of version 3. So, this is why we need AlpineDay!
We will also get to hear some great talks and learn about the awesome new additions to v3. Finally, and probably the biggest reason for Alpine Day is because AlpineJS is super badass 😎; it's so badass that it needs its own day 🤘.
Who's speaking
AlpineDay has a full line-up of awesome speakers including @mijustin, @stauffermatt, @calebporzio, and many more.
Each talk will be 18 minutes from a handful of many great speakers. Be sure to check out the official page to see a full list of speakers.
When is it?
Alpine Day is going to be held on...
June 10th, 2021
Join the fun and get your ticket here. During this live event, you will also see the new website and documentation site go live.
June 10th is on a Thursday, so I guess Caleb sticks to the tradition of not deploying on Friday 😝.
Tell your friends and make a day of it. Unfortunately, we can't have in-person conferences this year, but I'm sure this "Conference" day will be amazing 🍻.

If you want to learn more, be sure to visit the official Alpine Day page here. If you are reading this before AlpineDay, you can visit AlpineJS at https://github.com/alpinejs/alpine.
I'll be sure to post the updated link to the new site in this post when it's been released.

Thanks to @calebporzio and everyone else in the Laravel ecosystem who are creating some cool stuff. It makes me feel proud to be a part of the deeply rooted PHP community.
