Hello DevDojo team,

I wanted to know if usage of MarkdownX was possible in an application that I am currently building? I noted that it is not open source but wanted to find out my possibilities before I start building something from scratch.

Cheers, Brian

Hey Brian,

Can you give me a little more details on the application. If it is built using the Tallstack (https://tallstack.dev), then yes, you'll be able to use it in your project. Is there a specific use-case that you are curious about as to how it will integrate?

The editor is currently built for the Tallstack; however, I had thought about building it for use with other stacks. There are definitely trade-offs. If we keep it specific to the Tallstack, there are some really cool things we can do with it.

Send me over more details about the project and I can give you a better answer.

Thanks! Talk to you soon.

Hey Tony,

Thanks for the quick response.

Right now I have built the beta version of the app using Laravel and Filament. The idea is to migrate it fully to tallstack once I am ready to deploy with Wave.

The application allows for users to host their own helpdesk with a section for the company to post articles on how to use their own software etc.

So basically I am looking for an easy way to post articles in a portal for the users to read.

If you need more specifics, just let me know.

Thanks!

Yep, if you are using the Tallstack and you want users to write using the MarkdownX editor it will be really easy to implement.

Filament is really amazing as well. I was considering creating a first-party MarkdownX plugin for filament, but that probably won't happen until the new version of Filament is released.

If you need any help integrating the editor into your application, let me know and I can help you get it integrated.

I also have a short video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsmTzIwoZco that will show you how to include the editor in your Tallstack application.

Glad you are using the Tallstack 🍻 so much potential. I'm really excited for the new release of Laravel 10 and Livewire V3. I'm sure we are going to see some awesome things.

Anyway, let me know if that helps and if you need any more assistance or have any more questions 👏

HI @tnylea thanks for working on Mdx I think docs need a little bit upgrade.

I can't display LiquidTags

Here's the question thread regarding that https://devdojo.com/question/using-markdown-x-liquidtags-outside-livewire
