Hey guys,

I am not sure what is going on with this system but I paid for the premium but never got it activated for my account?

I just logged on to download geekshop and it told me I wasn't a pro member lol

Hey!

Sorry about this, seems like the same issue as before. I've sorted it all out now and added an extra free week as compensation!

Hey Bobby,

Could you explain what the issue is? Is it on my end or with paddles' API or something bc devdojo.com did tell me I had premium and did that thing where it uses a birthday thing that explodes on the screen.

Hey Keith! 👋

Basically what's happening is:

  • You initially subscribed to a Pro account, all good there.
  • When it came time for renewal, the automated payment failed, which triggered an automatic downgrade of your account.
  • Then, instead of paying for that renewal, you signed up again for a new Pro subscription, which upgraded your account again, so far so good.
  • However, the original subscription (the one that is failing to renew) is still active on Paddle's side and keeps trying to charge you. When that fails again, it downgrades your account, even though you now have a new subscription.

This causes a weird loop that messes up your access.

✅ The fix:

To avoid this going forward, you'll want to:

  • Stick with just one Paddle subscription and make sure that one stays active with successful payments.
  • OR, before starting a new subscription, cancel the old one first, that way there's no conflict.

I've manually fixed your access again and added a free week.

Hope that clears things up!
