Need help with replacing a hover effect on mobile!

You'll notice on desktop that I've added an effect in which scrolling over a project on the home page swaps the image out for a more intricate one, giving it an animated feel. On mobile of course, this doesn't really work - hover doesn't exist on touch screen in the same way, and visitors will likely not see the image "come to life" unless there's a lag between clicking the image and being directed to the project pagen .

I'm wondering... is there an elegant CSS solution for this? For example, would it be possible to set it so that scrolling over thttps://19216801.onl/he image on mobile causes the images to swap out automatically?

A typical interface screen has many elements on it. Hover effects inform users what they can interact with by providing visual feedback on buttons.
