Just received the newsletter about Foundation, what are the differences with Wave? I have to develop a couple of saas, I have to study because I've never done it before and I don't want to invest in Wave when maybe Foundation is better.

Hi there,

Foundation is still not available, it is a work in progress and should be ready in a few months!

Wave is still a great way to start, I would recommend learning following first:

  • PHP basics
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript basics
  • Laravel Basics
  • Wave

As Wave is based on Laravel it is good to have those fundamental skills first.

You can start with the following training:

https://devdojo.com/ninja/dashboard

Foundation will also be based on Laravel so your knowledge will still be valid once foundation is released.

Hope that this helps!

Best,

Bobby

I have experience with php, js, alpines, tailwind, mysql, larval (basic), need to mastering Wave, if the timeline is months, I stay with wave :-)

Thanks

Sounds like a plan! In this case a good place to start is the Wave docs and video course here:

Laravel Wave Docs

And additionally there is a good video series on how Tony builds a demo SaaS project using Wave on YouTube that might be helpful!
