Alpine & Pines with Tails?

How can I use Alpine & Pines with Tails? Like, I would like to see the Pines components inside Tails builder visually, so I can just drag & drop them?

Hi there,

You can copy the elements from Pines and then via the code editor in Tails add them to the section that you wish.

There is no drag and drop integration between Tails and Pines, but the elements from Pines can be copied and used within Tails.

That was a bit of a bummer :). It could have been wonderful if it were possible to just drag and drop.

Thank you for that feedback :) I'll bring that up internally.

We don't currently have any plans for implementing this, but yea, as of the time being, the method I suggested earlier would be the most feasible workaround.

Considering the elements panel, I think it would fit if the pure tailwindcss components were added. Buttons, tables, etc. If there's anything wanted that isn't pure, let me know and I'll make it compatable.

That would have been wonderful. Copy/paste is ok, but being able to drag and drop them on the canvas is life saver. Please make it compatible 😊 thanks.

@bobbyiliev

So, I copied this one https://devdojo.com/pines/docs/navigation-menu and pasted in the Tails app.

But, there is no layers/DOM panel that I can select the elements. There is no word wrap option in the code editor.

When I try to select the dropdown mega menu included with the above element, it just disappears.

I can't seem to grasp, maybe. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi there,

Currently there are no plans for making Pines and Tails drag and drop compatible.

Pains is meant to be used as a stand alone library for all types of projects and not only tied to Tails. But you can still use elements from Pines into Tails.

Here is an example with the menu that you've shared:

Yes, I figured that out, but why there is no dom tree that we can look where the sections are? Why there is no word wrap option available? Current drag and drop system is very confusing for me. I really got use to Bricks Builder and Bootstrap Studio, and was expecting the same editor.

Thanks for bringing those up! I'll forward your feedback internally!

Hi. Just checking in to see if there is any update? If we could just have a proper code editor available in Tails, then I can mix and match from the Pines library?

@bobbyiliev any updates? Can we at least communicate? :) thanks.

Hey Orhan,

Sorry, I've missed the previous comment.

Yes, there are no plans to incorporate Pines directly in Tails. For the editor, can you clarify what exactly is missing in the current one? You can open up the code editor and change any of the values as needed.

I will create a screen record of what I mean. But, still, I don't think there is enough attention given to my messages.

You read them right?

Yes, a screen recording will be helpful. I am afraid that it's not really clear that you mean exactly based on your previous messages :)
