Solvei

A skincare line with nine products and no interest in shouting. The identity had to survive a 12mm label and still read across a shelf.

A savings app for people who find money stressful. We redesigned around the two screens that actually get opened, and deleted most of the rest.

What I can take on

Four things, done properly. If what you need is not on this list, say so anyway — I will tell you honestly whether it is mine to do.

Brand identity
The mark, the type, the palette, and the rules that keep them honest once a dozen people are using them without me.
Product design
Interfaces designed against real content and real edge cases, handed over as components your engineers can actually build.
Websites
Design and front-end in one pass. Fast, accessible, and editable by whoever ends up owning it after I leave.
Art direction
Photography, illustration and layout held to one point of view across a launch, a campaign, or a whole catalogue.

How a project runs

The same four stages every time, with the dates agreed before we start. The numbers are the order things actually happen in.

  1. 01

    Read the room

    A week of interviews, competitor teardowns and reading whatever you have already written. I come back with what I think the real problem is.

  2. 02

    Pick a direction

    One direction, argued properly, with the reasoning attached. If it is wrong we find out in week two rather than week nine.

  3. 03

    Build it out

    The direction becomes a real system: type, colour, layout, components, and the pages that will carry the most weight.

  4. 04

    Hand it over

    Files, guidelines and a walkthrough recorded for whoever joins next. Two weeks of support while it goes live.
