Every travel app is built for planning. Atlas is built for the middle of the trip — the train platform, the market, the moment you want to keep. That constraint drove every decision.
Designed for one thumb
Capture is a single gesture: swipe up, and the app stamps the place, time, and weather around whatever you add — a photo, a line of text, nothing at all. Everything works offline and syncs when the signal returns. The journal assembles itself; the trip stays yours.
The map as the memory
Afterward, the trip renders as a dark map with your route drawn in a single bright line — the template for the postcards, the recap film, and the printed book we added in year two. People started taking trips with the artifact in mind.
Atlas reached 100k journals in its first year, with a 4.8 rating and zero paid acquisition.
