v2.0.0
26 June 2026
The checker is one small program
The agent is gone. Checks now run as a single 12MB program that reads what is about to change and answers pass or fail — the same way everywhere you run it.
Version 1 shipped an agent: something long-running, with credentials, a connection back to us, and enough surface area to make every security review longer than it needed to be.
Version 2 replaces it with one program. It reads what is about to change and answers pass or fail. It holds no credentials, opens no connections while it runs, and does the same thing everywhere.
Moving across
The agent keeps working until 31 December 2026. Switching is one line in your pipeline and a brew install; rules you have already written work unchanged.
› brew install axiom
› axiom check
What we gave up
Checks between deploys, which the fifteen-minute look now covers, and the live resource browser, which is not coming back. Both were features of the agent rather than of the idea.
