Questions about the bill
If yours is not here, write to us. An engineer answers, and they have read the billing code.

What counts as an event?
One exception, one message you send us on purpose, or one sampled transaction. A grouped issue with 1,284 occurrences is 1,284 events; reading it as many times as you like costs nothing.
What happens when we go over?
Nothing breaks. Events keep arriving and the overage is billed at your plan’s per-1,000 rate on the first of the month. Set a spend cap in the dashboard and we stop accepting events instead.
Do you charge per seat?
No. Invite the whole company, including the people who only read dashboards. The bill is the events you send and nothing else.
Can we drop events before they leave our servers?
Yes. The SDK scrubs fields by name or pattern before anything is sent, and server-side rules drop the rest. Card numbers and auth headers are scrubbed by default.
Where does the data live?
In US regions, on Artisan’s own infrastructure. Business plans can pin a project to us-east or us-west, and Enterprise can have a region of its own.
How do we cancel?
From the billing page, in one click, at any time. We bill for the month you are in and never for the next one, and your data stays readable for 30 days after that.
